Infection Models and Experimental Transmission Studies
Work on the control of infectious animal diseases is currently in full swing due to recent outbreaks of animal diseases. The effectiveness and suitability of control measures, and their social acceptability, are being taken into account. Within the field of Animal Disease Control research, the Central Veterinary Institute is developing its fundamental knowledge of the epidemiology of infectious diseases. Infection models and Experimental Transmission Studies use this knowledge to predict the behaviour and spread of causative agents in infectious animal diseases.
