25 Feb 2010 08:30 - 25 Feb 2010 18:30
Unit: Central veterinary Institute
Location: Amrath Hotel Brabant, Breda

In the Netherlands in recent years we have seen increasingly larger outbreaks of Q fever, especially on goat farms. A growing number of people have been infected by the Q fever bacteria. The Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality and the Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport have taken measures to reduce the number of outbreaks and human infections.

At the conference we want to collect and discuss information and experience from those countries around the world which have experienced Q fever outbreaks themselves. A number of scientists from Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Hungary and the Netherlands will present current scientific information on Q fever and experience of the disease in their countries.

Provisional program

The conference will take place at the Amrâth Hotel Brabant, Heerbaan 4, 4817 NL Breda from 9.30 to 18.30 hours. The hotel is easily accessible by car, train or bus.

We wish to invite a broad spectrum of organisations, but spaces are limited.

You may register the names of the people attending on a dedicated website. Participants must be registered individually and confirmation will be sent to each person individually. Participants will also receive additional information that might be useful for their stay in Breda. If you wish to stay overnight in Breda please indicate this when you register, stating the number of nights.

Within a few days you will be informed whether your registration has been succesfull (with regards to the maximum number of visitors).
